Working with Local Government Units ASDSW advocates to form Municipal WASH Task Forces (MWTF) which are made up of government officials focusing on WASH and consolidating/resourcing WASH interventions. Also this accompanied by a resolution as well as budget line item in the Annual Financial Plan of the LGU.
Working within Barangays (villages) creation of Water and Sanitation Associations (WSA) on an interim or permanent basis to provide these communities with representation within all WASH interventions. These are formed by general assembly’s of the community and ensure representation of all vulnerable groups.
The WASH Planning process then develops the capacity within these two groups with “On The Job” training within the target communities.
