In areas with the greatest need, it is not just one water problem that the community is facing. It can often be a combination of issues from water access to water quality to sanitation to water resource management.
ASD has developed a series of seminars that help local community leaders assess their Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) needs and design an integrated WASH Action Plan that can address all their water issues holistically and in stages. These seminars ensure decision-making for all water services is in the hands of the community.
WASH Resource Inventory (WIN) and Community Survey
A comprehensive survey and resource mapping that the community conducts to best asses their water issues. This asset-based approach helps the community to appreciate their resources with a sense of opportunity.
WASH Planning
A facilitated workshop that helps community leaders create integrated WASH Action Plans to address the various water needs they face.
Training of Trainers
Seminars offered to local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and governmental agencies to conduct WIN/WASH programs with local communities.
